Our range also includes products manufactured at our group’s own EU-GMP certified facility in Malta, operated by Alphafarma Operations Ltd. Having a sister company like this within the group gives us direct oversight of quality from cultivation to pharmacy.

COMPANY

The name Materia – a reference back to the ‘materia medica‘, comes from Latin and can be translated as source or talent. It is also our motivation to draw the best from what nature provides us with and to make optimal medical use of the diverse natural active ingredients of the cannabis plant.

With high-quality cannabis products, we want to enable patients to live a life that is no longer dominated by their symptoms.

Materia Deutschland GmbH was founded in Hamburg in June 2018 and we launched in the UK in 2026. We specialize in intra-EU import and GDP-compliant distribution of high-quality medical cannabis products manufactured by qualified EU-GMP-certified partners. Materia is a supporting member of the German Association of Cannabis-Supplying Pharmacies (VCA).

CANNABIS THERAPY
